Guide Dogs Week at Robinson Optometrists, Monkseaton

Robinson Optometrists are proud to support National Guide Dog Week, a special week for our chosen charity! We are £2,200 on the way to our target of £2,500 – the amount needed to buy and train a guide dog puppy through it’s early weeks.

We’re having a CAKE DAY on Thursday 12th October. Call in for a coffee and home made cake – all donations to The Guide Dog Appeal. There’s also a special appearance by Guide Dog Breeze, along with her owner Irene, who will be happy to answer any questions about guide dogs (from 3pm).

We had a great night celebrating being shortlisted for The National #OpticianAwards, and were very happy with our runners up position. There were some fantastic entires- congratulations to All the Winners!  And even more importantly, we were delighted that several thousand pounds was raised for #TheBlindVeterans- A Great Cause. Thanks to all of you for your continued support.

Opticians Awards 2017

Exciting News! We have again been shortlisted as National Finalists in The Optician Awards in two categories:

  • The Independent Practice of the Year
  • The Fashion Practice of the Year

We previously held Independent Practice of the Year in 2010 and 2012 so are really pleased to again be recognised. Fashion Practice is normally the domain of London based outlets, so pleased to be putting Whitley Bay on the Map! The Winners are to be announced at a Gala Dinner at the NEC Hilton. Win or lose, we aim to enjoy the evening!
