“Crusoe” is the name!

We have just heard back from Guide Dogs for The Blind. They are delighted to announce that “Crusoe” will be the name of our dog- the first eligible puppy to be called that name.

Thank you to Russ Moulding for the original thinking and to everyone who has supported this campaign.

Crusoe hasn’t actually been born yet, but watch this space for an update on his progress.

HELP US NAME OUR PUPPY!!!!!

We have raised over £2500 to buy a guide dog puppy and put it through its first weeks of training.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this wonderful campaign. We now need one more favour, name our puppy. Please add your suggestions to our Facebook page. We need a name for a boy, a name for a girl and one that could be either.

Could you please share and like our page and then add your 3 chosen names……

We look forward to hearing from you and thanks once again from all of us at Robinsons.

New Star Signing in The Transfer Window!

New Optometrist Elaine

This month We are delighted to welcome Specialist Independent Prescribing Optometrist Elaine McKechnie to our Star Studded Team! Elaine, along with our own Gary McMullan,  is one of the very few Independent Prescribing Optometrists in the region, a much sought after qualification. She has worked extensively in The RVI as well as Independent Practice and is passionate about the eyecare of her patients. Her recent experience of working in The Eye Emergency Department will prove invaluable to The Practice.

What’s more, we can vouch for her being just a lovely person, and is destined to be a huge hit with patients and staff alike.  She joins our established Team of optometrists, Nigel, Judith, John, Gary and Jim who are all very much looking forward to working with her.

Guide Dogs Week at Robinson Optometrists, 7 – 15 October

Robinson Optometrists are proud to support National Guide Dog Week, a special week for our chosen charity! We are £2,200 on the way to our target of £2,500 – the amount needed to buy and train a guide dog puppy through it’s early weeks.

We’re having a CAKE DAY on Thursday 12th October. Call in for a coffee and home made cake – all donations to The Guide Dog Appeal. There’s also a special appearance by Guide Dog Breeze, along with her owner Irene, who will be happy to answer any questions about guide dogs (from 3pm).
